A total of 569,095 candidates will begin the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) today at 2,123 designated centers across the country.
The exams will run until Monday, July 15, 2024.
In a statement, the Ghana Education Service (GES) congratulated the candidates on their hard work and thanked teachers, school heads, directors of education, parents, and guardians for their roles in preparing the candidates.
The GES warned candidates, invigilators, supervisors, school authorities, and teachers to refrain from any form of examination malpractice, stating that they are working with WAEC and security services to ensure a smooth and secure examination process.
The school selection process is set to commence after the BECE, with details to be communicated in due course.
Parents, candidates, and the general public are advised to take note of this development.
