President John Dramani Mahama unveiled his first set of ministerial appointments on January 9, 2025, marking a significant step in his administration’s efforts to revitalize Ghana’s government.
Among the newly appointed officials is John Abdulai Jinapor, who has been designated as the Minister for Energy.
Jinapor brings a wealth of hands-on experience and expertise to the energy portfolio, promising to drive substantial improvements in the sector.
His extensive qualifications in energy economics and finance position him well to address the country’s energy challenges and foster sustainable growth.
Jinapor holds a Master of Arts in Economic Policy Management, an MBA in Marketing, and a Master of Science in Development Finance from the University of Ghana.
Additionally, he earned a Master of Science in Energy Economics from GIMPA and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Financial Law from the University of London.
With his dynamic background and strategic vision, Jinapor is expected to lead transformative initiatives that will enhance Ghana’s energy infrastructure and economic resilience.
