Businessman and presidential hopeful Freedom Jacob Caesar is expected to announce Samia Nkrumah, daughter of Ghana’s late President Kwame Nkrumah, as his running mate for the upcoming elections.
According to sources, Caesar chose Samia Nkrumah to protect her father’s legacy and promote his vision for Ghana. Samia Nkrumah, a former member of parliament and chair of a major political party, has been an advocate for social justice and human rights.
Born in 1960, Samia Nkrumah was forced into exile after the 1966 military coup that overthrew her father’s government. She returned to Ghana in 1975 and later pursued her studies in London, earning a degree in Arabic Studies and a master’s degree from the School of Oriental and African Studies.
Samia Nkrumah has been described as the “new Mandela” by the Huffington Post, recognizing her impact on Ghanaian and African politics. She is a co-founder of Africa Must Unite, a movement dedicated to promoting her father’s vision and political culture.
The announcement is expected to be made soon, despite the recent postponement of Caesar’s presidential campaign launch due to unforeseen circumstances.
