Gospel musician and outspoken NPP sympathizer, Diana Asamoah, has issued a stern warning to her colleague, Empress Gifty, not to hold her mother’s funeral on any astroturf in the country.
Empress Gifty recently announced the passing of her mother, a popular Kumawood actress, and plans are underway for her one-week celebration.
However, before the family decides on a venue, Diana Asamoah has cautioned them against using an astroturf.
According to Diana Asamoah, all astroturfs in the country were built by the NPP, and therefore, Empress Gifty, who is associated with Alan Kyeremanteng’s party, should not use them.
Instead, Diana Asamoah advised Empress Gifty to ask her party to provide an astroturf for the funeral.
In a video statement, Diana Asamoah said, “I told her to go to her ‘Afrafranto’ party and ask them for an astroturf for the funeral. I reminded her that she didn’t vote for the NPP, so she should go and look for her own land to organize the funeral.”
Diana Asamoah’s warning has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many criticizing her for politicizing a funeral. Others have praised her for standing up for her party’s achievements.
