In a bold statement, Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemanng Badu II has asserted that Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu lacks the authority to install a paramount chief, citing constitutional limitations.
Addressing his community members, Dormaahene emphasized that Asantehene’s status as a paramount chief precludes him from installing another paramount chief, specifically the Fiapre paramount chief.
He argued that the Fiaprehene owes allegiance to the paramount chief of Odumase, who holds the rightful authority to install the Fiaprehene.
Dormaahene vowed to resist any attempts by Asantehene to impose a chief on the people of Fiapre, warning that such actions would only sow division among the community.
He appealed to Asantehene to reconsider his decisions, urging him to prioritize unity and respect traditional hierarchies.
