Former Newcastle coach, Chris Hughton, and current Dortmund assistant coach, Otto Addo are the leading candidates for the Black Stars job.
Chris is currently in Ghana and has been having a series of meetings including meeting with Chelsea Callum Hudson-Odoi’s father. There are reports that Hudson-Odoi would be ready to play for Ghana if Chris is appointed as head coach.
However, the former Newcastle boss is not the choice for the Ghana Football Association. He’s believed to be the Government’s choice for the job. It’s the government that is responsible to pay coaches.
The Ghana Football Association wants former Ghana international Otto Addo to take over. The GFA has sent a three-member delegation to Germany to speak with Addo.
The GFA is persevering in its quest to hire Otto Addo as a Ghana coach. Kurt met him in Germany on Monday and he’s agreed to take the job.
But GFA still needs to bargain with Dortmund for his release.
