Fella Makafui Arrested For Selling Unregistered Drugs

ISPYGH 247, a renowned investigative documentary filmmaking firm, in collaboration with the Pharmacy Council Ghana, has successfully apprehended Fella Makafui a social media influencer and actress, for unlawful activities related to the sale of unregistered drugs.

After six months of meticulous monitoring of Fella’s social media posts on TikTok and Instagram, Akwasi Koranteng and his team of undercover investigative journalists from ISPYGH 247 gathered evidence of her illegal activities, including:

  • Selling unregistered drugs
  • False advertising
  • Publishing unapproved adverts by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA)

Upon arrest, a range of products were seized at her Mempeasem shop, including:

  2. Butt And Hips Enlargement Syrup
  3. Butt And Hip Enlargement Oil
  4. Booty Cream
  5. Booty Scrub
  6. Hip And Big Butt Tea
  7. Breast Firming And Enlargement Cream

The investigation began after multiple consumer complaints about adverse side effects from using products advertised by Fella Makafui. ISPYGH 247 initiated undercover operations, posing as customers to purchase the products. Over time, they compiled substantial evidence, including recorded interactions and transactions with Makafui.

Akwasi Koranteng, the lead investigator, stated, “This arrest is a significant step in protecting public health and ensuring that only safe, approved products are sold in the market. The collaboration with the Pharmacy Council Ghana and the FDA was crucial in bringing this operation to a successful conclusion.”

The Pharmacy Council Ghana reiterated its commitment to safeguarding public health and warned that it would not tolerate the sale of unregistered drugs. The council emphasized that any individual or entity found engaging in such activities would face the full rigors of the law.

Fella Makafui, a well-known figure with a substantial following on social media, used her platform to market these unregistered products, making unverified claims about their efficacy. The products seized from her shop were not only unregistered but also falsely advertised as approved by the FDA, which posed significant health risks to consumers.
