A video circulating on the microblogging platform X has incited widespread outrage as it depicts a student assaulting her peer.
The aggressor can be heard threatening to make the victim bleed before relenting.
Allegedly, the altercation stemmed from the victim’s involvement with the bully’s former boyfriend, despite their previous friendship.
Identified as students of Mass Communication at Bamidele Olumila University of Education, Science and Technology, Ekiti State, the incident showcases the victim, Ajayi Precious Gloria, pleading for mercy to no avail.
Despite onlookers’ presence, intervention was absent, with some even encouraging the bully’s actions.
The Ekiti State Police Command issued a Press Release via X (Twitter), urging the public, especially residents of Ekiti State, to maintain calm as an investigation unfolds.
The Commissioner of Police has ordered a thorough inquiry, emphasizing the gravity of the assault and the need for the perpetrator to face legal consequences.
