A devastating fire explosion occurred at Bogobiri in the Obuasi Municipality of the Ashanti Region, leaving one person feared dead and three others injured.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the incident was caused by welding activity inside a garage.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud explosion, followed by a massive fire that engulfed the garage. Firefighters from the GNFS were quickly deployed to the scene to contain the blaze and ensure the safety of nearby residents.
The situation is still being managed, with emergency personnel working diligently to prevent further casualties or property damage. The GNFS has advised the public to exercise caution and avoid the affected area.
“Residents and motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes for their safety,” the GNFS stated in an official statement.
