Kumawood actor and musician Frank Naro has publicly retracted and apologized for false statements suggesting he had a romantic relationship with fellow actress Emelia Brobbey.
The statements, which recently circulated in the media, led to his arrest.
In an official press release, Naro clarified the situation, denying any such relationship and emphasizing his respect for Emelia Brobbey. “My attention has been drawn to false statements circulating in the media, aimed at defaming my reputation and that of my senior sister, Emelia Brobbey,” Naro stated. “These allegations suggest a romantic or sexual relationship with my respected senior colleague, which are completely untrue.”
Naro went on to express regret over the harm these rumors may have caused to Brobbey’s reputation, stressing that any implication of impropriety was “baseless and malicious.” He called on the public to disregard these rumors and urged Brobbey to continue focusing on her career.
This formal apology aims to clear the air and address any confusion surrounding the initial statements.
