In a recent interview with Zionfelix, Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win opened up about the amount he paid renowned Nigerian actor Ramsey Nouah to feature in his movie “A Country Called Ghana”.
The comic actor, who premiered the film, directed by Frank Fiifi Gharbin, disclosed that he brought Ramsey Nouah on board to add diversity to the movie’s cast.
Lil Win revealed that he intentionally recruited famed actors from other countries to join the numerous Kumawood stars already cast in the film.
The move was aimed at showcasing the richness of African culture and talent. In addition to Ramsey Nouah, the film also starred top Nigerian actors Charles Awurum and Victor Osuagwu, alongside notable Ghanaian actors.

Before the movie’s premiere, Lil Win flew Ramsey Nouah and his Nigerian castmates to Ghana for a special event. The Kumawood actor praised the professionalism of the Nigerian actors, stating that it was a pleasure working with them.
However, Lil Win also expressed his disappointment with the behavior of some Ghanaian actors, stating that it was challenging to work with them. This experience led him to seek out talent from other countries, resulting in the collaboration with Ramsey Nouah and other Nigerian actors.
Since its release, “A Country Called Ghana” has garnered international recognition, earning several accolades at the Rivers International Film Festival and the Nollywood Film Festival in Germany. The movie was also nominated for the Best Film In The World award at the 2024 Olhar Film Festival.
