Chelsea boosted their hopes for a UEFA Champions League spot as Mason Mount’s first-half strike inflicted a fifth consecutive defeat at Anfield for champions Liverpool.

Chelsea dominated the first half and had a goal ruled out for offside after extensive checks by VAR in the 24th minute.
However Chelsea’s dominance eventually paid off when Mount fired past Alisson to give the visitors a deserved lead in the second half.
Chelsea continue their unbeaten start to life under Tuchel and move up to fourth in the Premier League table whiles liverpool on other hand stay seventh and go into the record books for the wrong reason after a fifth consecutive home defeat.
