Menzgold Boss NAM1 To Face New Charges In Court
Embattled CEO of defunct Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah also known as NAM1 is set to face new charges in court, OccupyGh.com has gathered.
The prosecutor ASP Slyvester Asare asked the Accra Circuit court for time to file an amended charge sheet against the man who has arguably been the target of the largest number of demonstrations against a non-politician.
NAM1 as he is popularly called is already facing 61 charges, including abetment to defraud by false pretense and defrauding 16,000 people more than 1.6billion cedis.
Prosecutor ASP Slyvester Asare moved the motion for an amended fact sheet when the case was called.
He told the Accra Circuit Court judge, Ellen Asamoah, that his superiors have asked him to hold on with the fact sheet.
The judge agreed and subsequently adjourned the case to July 20, 2020.
