NDC ‘Arrests’ Two Popular NPP Officials Trying To Ran Out Of The Country, Promises To Prosecute Them And Any Other Corrupt Official

In the wake of the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) victory in the 2024 elections, the party has begun taking steps to hold corrupt government officials accountable.

According to Malik Basintale, the deputy communication officer for the NDC, two government appointees attempting to flee the country have already been prevented from doing so.

This move is part of a broader effort by the NDC to investigate and prosecute officials from the outgoing government who have been implicated in corrupt practices.

The party’s stance on corruption has resonated with many Ghanaians, who have grown increasingly frustrated with the perceived lack of accountability in government.

Hopeson Adorye, a former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has also taken to social media to announce that he is “hijacking” the airport to prevent corrupt officials from escaping.

Hopeson Adorye claims that he wants these individuals to remain in the country to face justice and account for their alleged misdeeds.

Malik Basintale echoed this sentiment in a separate social media post, stating that corrupt officials have “no way out of the country unless they fly on the back of an eagle.”

Basintale’s post reads: “Unless they escape on eagle backs, there is no room for them again around any border. Stay calm…We’ve caught 2 already????”
