A dramatic incident occurred today, December 7, 2024, at a polling station in Atwima Nwabiagya, where a polling agent on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) suddenly collapsed.
According to Emmanuel Gyamfi, the Presiding Officer of Atwima Nwabiagya, the incident occurred early in the morning while officials were at their duty posts. Gyamfi revealed this information in an interview with Ghanaian blogger, Shiny Creations.
The NDC official was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical attention. The cause of the collapse is yet to be determined.
This incident has raised concerns about the well-being of election officials and the need for adequate medical care to be available at polling stations.
