The demise of Robert Mugabe was met among many in Zimbabwe, Africa and the continent beyond with a missed feeling considering the popularity of the outspoken former President.
The former Zimbabwe’s president died on September 6th, 2019 in a hospital in Singapore while undergoing treatment from an ill health.
The date for his burial has been announced by the Zimbabwe government amidst a row over where Robert Mugabe should be buried, OccupyGh.com has gathered.
According to the Zimbabwe’s government, the funeral of Robert Mugabe, the decade long leader will be held on Saturday, 14th September 2019.
The memo released by the government denotes that the service for the Mr Mugabe will be held at the Harare National Sports stadium on Saturday, September 14th. The burial love cation which will follow the next day was not disclosed as at yet.
Family members of the late president is also calling for their precious to be buried at the cemetery for heroes of the liberation war in the capital.
Mugabe has a grave ready next to his first wife Sally in Heroes Acre, a North-Korea designed graveyard also home to prestigious Zanu PF supporters.
