Michael Oti, a celebrated Ghanaian sport journalist has disclosed how he has lost the respect he had for Stonebwoy for pulling a gun on Shatta Wale at the VGMAs during the weekend.
In a tweet, Oti mentioned that he has read his apology but still believes that pulling a gun in an auditorium was needless and should not be condoned just because he’s a fan of Stonebwoy.
His tweet read “I have as one of his biggest fan. You can be a fan and be critical. Yesterday was a massive letdown for everyone who has grown to love Stone for everything he stands for. Part of loving him is letting him understand nothing can explain pulling a gun in that auditorium.
In addressing his (Stonebwoy’s press statement he noted that the statement was not an unreserved apology.
He said “Not when he still tries to justify those actions. Pulling out the gun in that auditorium with all those people was reckless. His statements must reflect that otherwise this is a PR exercise in futility”.
