On the 6th of February 2023, Christian Atsu went missing in the immediate aftermath of the 2023 earthquake which transpired in Turkey and Syria.
He was feared to be part of the victims trapped under the rubble of Hatayspor’s headquarters based in Antakya after the quake.
Fortunately but unfortunately, his body was finally discovered on the 18th of February, 2023 but lifeless.
His agent confirmed the news and announced it to Ghanaians who were all ears to know the whereabouts of their star.
Atsu’s Week Observation was held in Accra, Adjiriganor, Accra East Legon Astro Turf.
It saw big dignitaries showing up to pay their tribute to the legend.
Ex-Black Star player, Sulley Muntari who was present was seen crying in his dark shades. Muntari is believed to be brave, valiant, and tough and turned out to have the softest of hearts. He couldn’t control his emotions as Richard Kingsley was consoling him.
