It has been revealed following an investigation that the 29-year-old ‘pregnant’ woman, Josephine Simons, faked her own kidnapping.
Josephine Simons went missing on a morning walk from Amanoo road to the Paa Grant Roundabout as part of her routine exercise.
She however went missing on a faithful day and was found at Axim in the Nzema East Municipality.
Details gathered from the investigations indicate that she was never pregnant and there was no kidnapping.
Based on the investigation, Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah has suggested that Josephine was neither pregnant nor kidnapped.
Doctors examined her and confirmed there was no pregnancy while National Investigative Bureau Officials say their preliminary investigations show there was no kidnapping.
