OccupyGh.com has been informed of a young woman who has been assaulted by a group of land guards at Legon in the Greater Accra Region.
According to eye witnesses, the land guards stormed a piece of land around the University of Professional Studies (UPSA), firing gunshots and assaulting residents around the property.
The woman in question was said to have suffered most since she was the first in contact with the land guards.

Her husband has revealed that the wife was sent to the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital following a series of beatings she received.
“It all happened around 10:00 am on Wednesday morning while my wife was on phone giving directions to some people who were coming to see me. One Dzato guy ordered his men to fire shots and attacked my wife and threatened to eliminate me,” The husband said.
OccupyGh.com has gathered that one of the land guards and a suspect, Clement Dzato, has denied the allegation of both invasion and assaulting residents around the piece of land.
“I am with the Ministry of Lands in charge of government lands acquired by an Executive Instrument which have been encroached and per our research, the land does not belong to UPSA as being reported…
The lady we are being accused of assaulting was taking videos of us which I directed my men to ensure he deletes them neither did we fire gun shots but her husband rather drove his car through my men leaving one of them in a critical condition at the Legon hospital,” Clement Dzato said.
