Your Curses Can’t Intimidate Me — Vim Lady Fires Back At Prophet Opambour

Renowned Ghanaian broadcast journalist Afia Pokuaa, popularly known as Vim Lady, has dismissed threats and curses reportedly invoked by Prophet Ebenezer Opambour Yiadom, also known as Prophet 1.

According to the outspoken journalist, she remains unfazed by the spiritual threats, stating they have no power over her.

In a video shared on social media, Vim Lady declared her resilience, drawing on her decades of experience in journalism.

“I have been in this profession for over 20 years, and I fear nothing. We’ve faced threats before—even bodyguards of former President Kufuor have beaten us, yet we survived. So Opambour has no power to intimidate me,” she said.

Her remarks followed a disagreement with the prophet over comments she made regarding a discussion about the Ghana Card.

Vim Lady maintained that her statements were based on facts and had nothing to do with condemning the initiative. “He has no right to fight me over asking legitimate questions. Where I come from, we have strong spiritual protection, so he should remain silent,” she asserted.

Switching gears to politics, Afia Pokuaa expressed her support for former President John Mahama’s proposal for free first-year tertiary education, emphasizing her preference for education-focused policies over financial benefits for politicians.

“I have always supported free education. Anyone who opposes free SHS lacks foresight. When Mahama proposed free first-year tertiary education, I endorsed it wholeheartedly because I do not support the ex-gratia payments being given to MPs,” she stated.

Her remarks have sparked public discussions on spirituality, freedom of speech, and the prioritization of education in Ghana’s political landscape.
