Private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw says the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has turned Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu into a ‘Zombie’.
According to him, Martin Amidu has been idling about for far too long and appears not to be engaged in any meaningful work, years after his appointment.
Maurice Ampaw, in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, expressed disappointment in Amidu saying – “I thought he was a strong man.”
“We’re tired of Martin Amidu. Tell him we are tired of him. He’s been idle for too long. We’ve not seen any action from him yet. He has been turned into a zombie and sitting down without prosecuting any corrupt government official.”
To him, Mr Amidu should resign from his post since the reason for the establishment of the office of Special Prosecutor by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to fight corruption has become a mirage.
“Because of free V8, free bungalow, free AC [air condition] in this toilet, he doesn’t want to resign. What is he doing there?” he questioned
