Church Member Storms Pastor’s Office To Demand A Refund After Mistakenly Sending ¢950 instead of ¢100 As Tithe

A dramatic scene has unfolded at a church in Nigeria after a church member stormed her pastor’s office, demanding a refund of N100,000 which is equivalent to ¢950 she had mistakenly transferred as tithe.

According to the lady’s account, shared on social media platform X by @ChuksEricE, she had intended to send N10,000 as tithe but accidentally added an extra zero, resulting in a transfer of N100,000.

The lady claimed that she immediately notified the pastor of the mistake, but he allegedly dragged his feet in returning the money.

Frustrated and determined to retrieve her funds, the lady, accompanied by others, marched into the pastor’s office to demand a refund.

In a video shared online, the lady can be heard confronting the pastor, saying, “I was supposed to send N10,000, but I mistakenly added another zero and sent. Immediately I sent it, I called him… He’s now telling me that the money is for God. My business money, o… Pastor, give me my money!”

The incident has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many users questioning the pastor’s actions and others defending the church’s stance on tithing.
