10 man Porto eliminate Juventus in thrilling UCL tie

FC Porto stunned Juventus in the UEFA Champions League after scoring 2 crucial away goals in Turin to eliminate Juventus even though they lost today’s game 3:2.

Porto started the game brightly and opened the scoring with a penalty by Sergio Oliveira in the 19th minute of the game. Juventus however responded strongly and Ronaldo set up Chiesa for the equalizer in the second half before FC Porto had Mehdi Taremi red-carded after a second bookable offense in the 54th minute

Chiesa scored again in the 63rd minute to give Juventus the lead in the game and equalize the tie on aggregate. The tie then had to be settled in extra time as both sides failed to score again.

Sergio Oliveira then scored directly from a free-kick to turn the tie in Porto’s favor as Juventus needed to score twice in 5 minutes to win the tie on aggregate. They managed to score one but it wasn’t enough as Porto’s 2 away goals were enough to eliminate Juventus from the UEFA Champions League

Porto lost today’s game but won 2:1 at home three weeks ago to make the total aggregate 4:4 to qualify on the away goal rule.
