BREAKING: 2 Police Officers ‘Missing’ On Oda River

Information reaching OccupyGh.com indicates that two police officers have reportedly ‘gone missing’ in the Oda River situated at Korbro in the Obuasi Municipality in the Ashanti Region.

The two Police Officer – Lance Corporal Akwasi Boateng and Stephen Kyeremeh according to reports were pursuing some suspected criminals in the area when the canoe ferrying them capsized.

The criminals during the hot chase were believed to have crossed the river to the other side leaving the officers with no choice than to follow them.

Unfortunately, their canoe capsized midway through the chase. Their bodies are yet to be recovered.

The Oda River is said to be as big as River Pra and River Offin and serves as Ghana Water Company Limited’s source of treated water for the Obuasi Municipality.
