If you were a lover of TV3 Mentor and you happened to be around in Ghana in the year 2008, then the name Angel Blessings should be familiar.
She was the 2nd Runner up of the singing reality show.
Angel was born Angel Akuamoah Boateng, her stage name however was a household name during the show.
Despite the fame and talent development, she got from Mentor, Angel Blessing couldn’t become a mainstream musician as she disappeared from the media space.
In the latest interview on Obibini Tv, the 2008 Mentor 2nd runner-up disclosed that after the show she was diagnosed with mental illness.
She added that she spent 10 years at the psychiatric hospital with her children taken away from her.
I could not do anything for myself. I spent time at the psychiatric hospital every single year for 10 years. I was taken away from my children and I still long to meet them,” she said.
She added that she has no work now and can’t even afford ends meet.
