Ghanaian popular forex trader Kojo Forex has summoned social media critics Bongo Ideas for publicizing ‘false statements’ about him.
According to a writ sighted by OccupyGh.net, Kojo Forex is seeking Bongo Ideas to ‘retract, apologize, cease and desist publication of defamatory statements’ about him.
“It is our understanding that from 28 February 2023, you have maliciously been publishing inaccurate and misleading information on your Twitter page in reference to our Client, which are damaging to his personal and professional character and making the right-thinking public to think less of him.”
The writs identify Kojo as a Youtuber who has amassed followers on Youtube and other social media platforms.
It refers Bongo to a number of tweets shared that are ‘derogatory’ to the personality of Kojo.
“According to our Client, you have repeatedly published statements in which you falsely described him as a fraudster and being involved in a Ponzi scheme as well as other dishonest business dealings. A few of the statements have been reproduced below;
“| hate to give FX fraudsters like @KojoForex a bite of my so-called “ill-gotten clout. But a Ponzi schemer who steals from people & comes online to proudly show off deserves some hooting. Pay the people you’ve defrauded first, & let’s see if I could consider you for a beefing.”, an excerpt from the writ reads.
