A 28-year-old father has made a frightening confession to the murder of his newborn baby girl in a truly tragic and upsetting occurrence, motivated by the fact that he had expected the birth of a son instead.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, this tragic incident took place at Doka Baici, a town in the Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State, Nigeria.
The guy, named as Misbahu Salisu, admitted to poisoning his infant daughter, who had only been alive for one day. This horrible deed has stunned both the neighbourhood and the country.
Salisu was detained by the Kano State Hisbah Board on Friday in relation to this terrible act. The incident’s facts were provided in a statement by Dr Mujahid Aminudeen, the board’s deputy commander general of operations.
The document claims that Salisu confessed to the board’s officers that he accidentally killed the infant by giving her a local insecticide called Otapiapia.
In a terrible twist, before committing this heinous murder, Salisu had given the mother of the newborn, Sa’ade, a cup of tea laced with sleeping pills.
Salisu had confessed to his acts, the statement continued, admitting that he had preferred a male child but was unhappy when his wife gave birth to a female child. He allegedly killed his young daughter because of his feelings of disappointment.
Salisu was turned over to the police after his confession for further investigation and potential prosecution.
A guy lost his life as a result of a stunning and terrible occurrence that occurred during a dispute with his wife, according to a recent account that is equally upsetting. According to reports, the wife killed her husband by squeezing his testicles.
The incident happened in the Mosogar Community in Delta State, Nigeria’s Ethiope West Local Government Area.
In relation to this event, the Delta Police Command detained the woman. Although the woman did not physically cut her husband’s testicles during their argument, DSP Bright Edafe, the command’s spokeswoman, claims that she aggressively grabbed and pulled on them, severely injuring them.
During this violent altercation, the guy unfortunately died, which resulted in the arrest of his wife. The woman was detained after attempting to flee the residence when she realised how serious the situation was after the deceased man’s older brother reported the incident to the police.
