Akon, the singer from the United States, is the most recent celebrity to discover happiness in Black Sherif, the musician from Konongo.
The business tycoon claimed that his Malian friend had introduced him to Blacko’s music at the outset. The vocalist of “Lonely” was speaking on BBC Radio 1Xtra.
According to Akon, he could sense the sorrow, hunger, and misery in his words, and there was no doubt that Black Sherif was onto something important.
Since then, the Senegalese-American artist claims to have been a fan and may choose to sign the 20-year-old performer, if necessary.
“I’m a huge fan of Black Sherif; he reminded me of the energy I had when I first came out; whenever he sings, you can literally hear the pain, struggle, and challenges in his voice.”
