
<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>The recent floods that ravaged parts of the Volta region due to the Akosombo Dam spillage have left behind a trail of destruction and displaced numerous residents.</strong></p>



<p class="has-medium-font-size">To aid those affected, the Ghana Association of Barbers and Barbering Salon Owners has joined hands with Media General to offer free haircuts to the victims in Mepe, a town in the Volta Region.</p>



<p>This act of kindness is meant to provide some comfort to the flood victims who have endured significant hardships.</p>

<p>The controlled spillage of the Akosombo Dam and the Kpong Dam by the Volta River Authority was necessary to manage rising water levels.</p>



<p>However, it resulted in widespread flooding, causing considerable damage to properties and homes.</p>
