Renowned Ghanaian broadcaster, Blessed Godsbrain Smart, popularly known as Captain Smart, has launched a blistering attack on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Speaking on his Onua Maakye show, Captain Smart stated that the Bible declares anyone who makes promises to God or to people but fails to fulfill them as a fool.
Applying this principle to Ghanaian politics, he described Akufo-Addo and Bawumia as “two big fools,” citing their failure to deliver on key promises. He pointed to the unfulfilled pledge to build a National Cathedral and the promise of an airport for the people of Cape Coast as examples of broken commitments.
“Whoever makes a vow to God or the people and fails to fulfill it is a fool. By this standard, Akufo-Addo and Bawumia are two big fools,” he said emphatically during the broadcast.
Captain Smart didn’t spare NPP supporters who still intend to vote for the party in the upcoming December 7, 2024, elections, describing them as “fools” for continuing to follow leaders who fail to deliver on their promises.
“Anyone who follows a leader who repeatedly fails to deliver is equally a fool,” he added.
Captain Smart’s remarks are expected to spark widespread debate and reactions in the coming days as the country inches closer to the elections.
