Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Ghana’s Vice President and flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has proudly announced that the current government has achieved significant success in job creation.
Speaking to the youth in Accra on November 3, Bawumia revealed that the NPP government has created 2.6 million jobs since taking office.
Breaking down the numbers, Bawumia stated that 1.4 million jobs were created in the private sector, while 1.2 million jobs were generated in the public sector. To support his claims, he cited data from the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) and other sources.
Bawumia expressed pride in the government’s accomplishments, saying, “We’ve done a great job creating jobs over the past seven years.” He also highlighted the government’s commitment to continuing this trend, promising to add 4 million more jobs if re-elected.
The sectors targeted for job creation include health, education, and small businesses, among others. Bawumia’s announcement comes as a significant boost to the NPP’s campaign, showcasing the party’s focus on economic growth and employment opportunities.
