Controversial marriage counsellor George Lutterodt has launched a scathing attack on gospel musician Diana Asamoah, accusing her of being one of the reasons why the New Patriotic Party (NPP) lost the 2024 elections.
Counsellor Lutterodt’s outburst comes on the heels of a statement made by Diana Asamoah to her colleague Empress Gifty, who was mourning the loss of her mother. While some people found Diana’s comment amusing, others deemed it insensitive and unnecessary.
Counsellor Lutterodt, who was clearly unhappy with Diana’s comment, slammed her for her thoughtless remarks. “I don’t understand what would compel Diana Asamoah to make such a silly comment to someone grieving the loss of her mother,” he exclaimed.
Diana Asamoah’s comment was in reference to Empress Gifty’s decision to hold her late mother’s funeral at an AstroTurf venue, which was constructed by the NPP administration. Diana allegedly advised Empress Gifty against using the venue, sparking widespread outrage.
Counsellor Lutterodt questioned the basis of Diana’s argument, pointing out that the AstroTurf was funded by taxpayers and was not the property of the NPP. “Is the AstroTurf a private property of the NPP? It belongs to the people of Ghana, and anyone has the right to use it,” he asserted.
