“Is Beyonce your queen?” Dancehall king Shatta Wale has questioned Sarkodie in a subtle reply.
A historic Shatta Wale feature on Beyonce’s upcoming album – The Lion King: The Gift has since Tuesday turned all attention to the ‘Kaikai’ hitmaker.
Shatta’s new feat has promoted both friends and foes to congratulate him. Notable among such applause was one coming from Sarkodie that read; “Welcome home Queen @Beyonce officially Big shouts @shattawalegh!!! And all our brothers and sisters on there…Big One for the culture.”
This obviously didn’t go down well with Shatta Wale, as the dancehall artist is convinced Sarkodie’s praise was heavily motivated by malice.
Shatta Wale has since then replied the ‘Adonai’ hitmaker, he said;
“Is Beyoncé your queen, do you know her?”
“No…Me I don’t know her myself but if Sarkodie wants to write then he should write well for people to know what he is writing.”
Shatta has subsequently questioned his friendship with his former confidante. In an interview on Zylofon FM, he replied calling Sarkodie ‘too known’ when asked why he didn’t retweet his Sarkodie’s tweet but did almost retweet every other one that congratulated him.
