BREAKING: Erik ten Hag Sacked By Manchester United, Ruud van Nistelrooy as Interim Manager

Manchester United have sacked Erik ten Hag following a 2-1 loss to West Ham, which saw the team drop to 14th place in the Premier League with only three wins in their first nine games.

Ten Hag, appointed in April 2022, initially led United to success, securing third place in his debut season and capturing both the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.

However, a decline in form saw United finish eighth last season, their lowest-ever Premier League position, which ultimately contributed to his departure. Ruud van Nistelrooy, formerly on the coaching staff, has been named interim head coach while the club seeks a permanent replacement.

This managerial change aligns with Manchester United’s ambitions to recover their competitive edge, especially in light of recent investments and Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s acquisition of a minority stake.

Ten Hag’s dismissal makes him the fifth manager to exit since Sir Alex Ferguson’s 2013 retirement, underscoring the ongoing challenges in reviving the club’s former dominance.

The United faithful are now looking to Van Nistelrooy to stabilize the team and return them to a path of success.
