
<p><strong>BREAKING: MEGHIS Final Year Student Dies</strong></p>



<p>Breaking news reaching OccuyGh.com indicates that a final-year student of <a href="https://occupygh.com/tag/methodist-girls-senior-high-school">Methodist Girls Senior High School</a> in Mamfe-Akuapem in the Eastern Region has lost her life.</p>



<p>Cindy Aku Sika Addo, who was a General Arts student, was admitted at the Tetteh Quarshie Hospital at Mampong on Thursday, July 16 for an ailment later diagnosed as acute malaria.</p>



<p>According to the Ghana Education Service (GES), her parents were immediately informed and they even went to the hospital to see her.</p>

<p>She was later referred to the Koforidua Regional Hospital, where she passed on.</p>



<p>GES has assured the family of support in giving their late relative a befitting burial.</p>



<p>“Management of GES extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and stands with them at this difficult time,” a press release issued by Head of Public Relations Unit Cassandra Twum Ampofo on Sunday said.</p>



<p>Schools were reopened for final-year and second-year Gold Track senior high school (SHS) students on Monday, June 22.</p>



<p>Since then quite a number have lost their lives for various ailments while some have been infected with <a href="https://occupygh.com/category/coronavirus">COVID-19</a>.</p>
