Bukom Banku And Son Arrested For This Reason (See Details)

An Accra Circuit Court has remanded former light heavyweight champion Braimah Kamoko, commonly known as Bukom Banku, in detention for allegedly attacking a man.

The prosecutor claims that on November 25, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. in Bukom, the boxer and a few friends produced a commotion and attacked some other people.

The complainant and neighbor, Ishmael Neequaye, claimed that the noise in the area woke him up from his sleep.

Meanwhile, he acknowledged making an effort to settle things down.

However, the prosecutor said that Bukom Banku shattered a bottle and gave it to his son Mustapha, who then allegedly stabbed Ishamel Neequaye when he saw the complainant.

When Bukom’s kid inserted the broken bottle into his abdomen, the complaint was taken to the Korle Bu teaching hospital.

The police allegedly made numerous attempts to apprehend Bukom Banku and his son without any luck. The two were taken into custody after receiving a criminal summons.

The two entered a not-guilty plea, but Justice Adelaide Abui Keddey, who presided over the case, refused to grant them bail.

The boxer and his son have been remanded in custody with a Monday, December 19th court appearance scheduled. Prosper Quaye, 32, the third accused, is currently missing.
