Bulldogs Slams CharterHouse For VGMA Controversy

The 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music awards was marred by an altercation between the entourages of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy at the event, which saw the latter pull out a gun on the VGMA stage.

Event organizers Charterhouse announced that both artists will be banned from attending and performing at all future events and will have to return all awards they won on the night, for their role in the brouhaha.

Speaking to hosts of GHOne’s Celebrity Fanzone, artist manager and member of Shatta wale’s camp Bulldog criticized Charter House for their role in the confusion, which he says was all their fault.

“On the night, [charterhouse] messed up, and the messing up didn’t help any of us” he said. “Charterhouse should be blamed the most…How did people clash in there?….it’s so sad that organizers of the show are not even owning up. Are they doing this for the Ghanaian public or for their own pockets?”

Bulldog is among many who have raised concerns about the security measures put in place by Charterhouse, which allowed a gun to be brought into the auditorium and failed to prevent the two camps clashing on stage.
