A Ghanaian student, Marvin Baah Boadu, in his 20s, has been fatally shot in Toronto, Canada.
The incident occurred on Monday at approximately 8 PM near an apartment in the Clearview Heights and Trethewey Drive area.
Baah Boadu suffered life-threatening injuries, sustaining three gunshot wounds. Emergency responders performed life-saving measures at the scene before rushing him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
This tragic event marks the 72nd homicide in Toronto this year. Earlier in February, another Ghanaian, 39-year-old Adu Boakye, fell victim to gun violence.
The Toronto Police Service is investigating the circumstances surrounding Baah Boadu’s death.
