Delay Was Paying For Awards — Blakk Rasta Alleges

Blakk Rasta, a former Ghanaian musician turned radio presenter, has made serious allegations against businesswoman and TV show host Deloris Frimpong Manso, widely known as Delay.

During a recent interview on Kingdom FM, Blakk Rasta claimed that Delay used to mobilize a bus full of fans to support her during award ceremonies and allegedly paid substantial sums for votes.

Recalling an incident from a previous edition of the RTP Awards, the reggae star recounted being overlooked due to low votes and criticized the award scheme’s criteria for favoring certain individuals.

Blakk Rasta emphasized that Delay’s involvement, along with sponsorship advantages, hindered the fair selection process of the RTP Awards.

In the past edition of the RTP Awards, Delay was awarded the title of ultimate female personality of the year, prompting further scrutiny from Blakk Rasta, who claimed that Delay orchestrated support from a studio audience whenever her name was mentioned.

It’s important to note that the RTP Awards’ criteria for selecting winners include qualities such as consistency on air, articulateness, informativeness, educational impact, and inspiration.
