Don't Smile With Your Mother-In-Laws, She's Not Your Friend - Counsellor Lutterodt Advices Women

Ghanaian controversial counselor, Counsellor Lutterodt has made a debatable comment about how women should relate with their mothers-in-law. Sparking a conversation on social media

According to Counsellor Lutterodt, wives should desist from smiling and being nice to their mothers-in-law, after all, they are not their friends.

The controversial counselor made the absurd assertion while speaking in a discussion on ‘Relationships between In-laws’ on TV3 NewDay.

He noted:

“Anybody who praises the mother-in-law has a problem. Anybody nice with the mother-in-law will have a problem in the future. You can never be a friend to your mother-in-law. It is wickedness and disrespect.”

“My wife and my mother will never be friends. They do not fight, but they are unable to be friends. Respect must be present. The respect comes from the fact that she is an in-law, and you respect her on that level. You are not required to be nice to your mother-in-law.

“Don’t address her as your mother. She is your wife’s mother-in-law. Don’t be shy about saying it. She is not your mother, but rather your husband’s mother. You will never be her daughter. Remember that.”
