The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has tipped the release of a scheduled Dumsor Time Table to a possible load shedding exercise that will hit the country.
The load-shedding is reportedly due to a shutdown of the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant in the Western Region for 14 days.
The move will pave way for maintenance work and as a result, the gas supply to some power plants is going to be affected and ultimately bring out power supply interruptions.
The Ministry of Energy explained in a statement that the move is a consistency to ensuring reliable power supply through robust and necessary maintenance activities.
