Food Suppliers Association Storms NAFCO Office Over 18 Months Unpaid Debts

Some members of the Food Suppliers Association have stormed the office of the National Food Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO) to demand payment for outstanding debts spanning over 18 months.

The frustrated suppliers arrived at the NAFCO office in Cantonment, Accra, armed with their utensils and personal belongings, signaling their resolve to stay until their grievances are addressed.

Some members of the association even held up plaques, emphasizing their determination to seek justice.

A viral video that sees the members at the NAFCO has since surfaced online. The Food Suppliers Association claims that NAFCO has failed to fulfill its financial obligations for an extended period, causing significant financial strain on its businesses.

The suppliers, representing various sectors of the food industry, insist that they cannot continue to bear the burden of unpaid debts while struggling to sustain their operations.

This protest marks a turning point in their quest for payment, as they choose to confront NAFCO directly and make their voices heard.
