Veteran Ghanaian Kuamwood actress, Portia Asare Boateng has further deepened the divorce rumors between herself and her husband, Rev. John Wilberforce Aidoo.
The actress and the Rev. Aidoo got married in 2013 at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) in Tema Community 5.
Ever since then, the actress who was one of the main faces in the movie industry went missing. She tried a comeback a few years ago but it didn’t work out too nicely and she left.
She is back again to try her luck and in an interview with Zonfelix has made shocking revelations about her marriage to Rev. Aidoo.
According to the actress who no more wears her wedding ring, she was forced into the marriage by her family and friends.
On why she does not wear her ring, Portia revealed it’s just an accessory so it doesn’t matter if she wears it or not.
When asked by the host if she is still married to her husband, Portia Asare paused for some seconds before saying yes. A clear indication that she was lying.
The actress also revealed she doesn’t use her husband’s surname like a wife is supposed to do. She wants to be addressed as Portia Asare Boateng.
The number of celebrity divorces is on the rise in Ghana. Not a month or two pass without Ghanaians hearing of a celebrity divorce or at least, rumors of a divorce. Interestingly, it’s always the actresses who are getting divorced.
