Award-winning actor Kwaku Manu has offered some candid advice to Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking on UTV Showbiz, Kwaku Manu urged Dr. Bawumia to reassess his priorities, emphasizing that Ghanaians are more concerned about finding employment to support themselves than buying phones on credit.
While acknowledging Dr. Bawumia’s plan, Kwaku Manu stressed that it is not the solution the country needs at present.
He pointed out that in advanced countries where credit purchases are common, such facilities are extended to individuals with a proven track record of repayment, not the unemployed.

Kwaku Manu highlighted Ghana’s pressing issue of high unemployment, which places a significant burden on the salaries of employed individuals. He implored Dr. Bawumia to focus on creating jobs for citizens before implementing his credit card plan.
The actor’s comments have sparked a lively debate, with many Ghanaians sharing their thoughts on the matter.
