Ghana Must Go: How Ghanaians Were Deported From Nigeria in 1983 (VIDEO)

Ghana Must Go is a common phrase known to mostly Ghanaians and Nigerians alike, it is known to be a popular bag, however, there is a history behind it.

The history, from a viral video that has just surfaced details how Nigerians deported Ghanaians from their land in 1983.

It is told that in that particular era, Nigeria had found oil and many from Africa, mostly Ghanaians migrated to Nigeria for greener pastures. Over 2 million people made the human exodus.

They were in the country to do the jobs that Nigerians won’t do. Now they were kicked out by the natives with blames for foreigners ‘stealing their jobs’.

The foreigners, mostly Ghanaians in Nigeria were blamed for everything including unemployment and the soaring rate of crime.
