FINALLY! Ghanaians Petition FIFA To Investigate Portugal’s Contentious Penalty (See Reactions)

FIFA is currently being petitioned to look into the contentious penalty awarded to Portugal by referee Ismail Elfath, which sparked a public outcry.

Numerous Ghanaians and football enthusiasts from across the world, including some soccer specialists like Mike Dean, an EPL referee, believe that the penalty call, the second goal that was offside, and Alidu Seidu’s questionable yellow card were all wrong.

It appears that referee Ismail Elfath made poor choices when it counted the most, which also discouraged the Blackstars team’s players.

Unexpectedly, despite the players’ pleas for the referee to check the VAR and reevaluate his contentious judgment, Ismail Elfath chose not to do so.

It is reasonable to ask FIFA to investigate referee Ismail Elfath’s performance. FIFA has made investments in technology to raise the caliber of decisions made on the field, and not for nothing.

The VAR referees also need to be suspended since they failed to fulfill their duties. Below are some reactions to the penalty and offside goals:
