Veteran gospel musician Jack Alolome has reportedly turned down invitations to join the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) campaign team for this year’s elections.
According to Kumawood actor Big Akwesi, Alolome confided in him that he felt betrayed by the NPP after they failed to pay him a substantial amount for his performance at one of their campaign shows two years ago.
Alolome allegedly honored the invitation, expecting a significant payment, but was only given GHC 20,000, which he deemed insufficient.
Big Akwesi claimed that Alolome vowed never to work with the NPP again, despite receiving offers.

This revelation came as Big Akwesi criticized musician Nicholas Omane Acheampong for attacking movie industry professionals who support former President Mahama, citing the NPP’s own alleged neglect of Alolome.
