<p style="font-size:25px"><strong>A piece of breaking news reaching us at OccupyGh.com indicates that Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta in the name of the Government of Ghana has agreed to withdraw the controversial E-levy in Parliament.</strong></p>



<p>However, there is a catch… the withdrawal is to enable the reintroduction after a careful assessment and possibly reduction of the rate by the Finance Minister.</p>

<p>Alexander Afenyo-Markin said the government will withdraw the controversial levy on Tuesday, February 15.</p>



<p>Presenting the business statement for Parliament next week, the Effutu MP said the government will reintroduce the E-levy Friday, February 18.</p>
