According to Ignatius, he was scared to have come out as being gay in his earlier day but not anymore.

He did not reveal his sekzuality back then because of his job as a journalist.

“I want to say this on the record, I know for some people who are seeing me through this very line it might sound a bit contradictory and that is because in the past I has denied my truth and I had denied the fact that I was gay and I did that because of the fear of losing my career”

“So this is going to be the first time that is using your medium to say that not only am I an activist for the right of Africa’s sexual minorities, what you call the LGBT right community but I am gay and that is the truth that I have accepted and that is the truth I live by. Because I was ousted as a gay person and obviously I denied it because I was afraid of losing my job. I was working at an incredible television station in Accra and also for fear of what will happen to me personally” he disclosed

Annor once denied his sekzuality as being gay on the Restoration Program which was hosted by the General Manager of Angel TV Stacy Amoateng.
